| Overview of the holiday |
| Cruising and walking the Lycian coast between Marmaris and Fethiye see the best of this wonderful coast by sea and on foot. Walk along tracks still used by shepherds today, most of which are so remote they can only be accessed from the sea. We anchor in bays where Romans anchored and follow their paths to ruined villages complete with mausoleums and ancient water systems. |

| Accommodation |
Traditionally built wooden boats, our gulets have double and sometimes twin cabins for your group accommodating up to 16 people. They have sails although operate under motor for most of the trip to ensure we can keep to our schedule. Each cabin has a private en-suite bathroom with home style toilet, shower cubicle and hairdryer. Cabins have a small wardrobe, underbed storage, window and bedside light. Electricity is available in cabins for charging mobile phones and cameras every evening. Cabins are smaller than a hotel room but larger than you’d find on a typical sailing yacht. One bath towel and one hand towel are provided, please bring your own beach towel. The bar, galley and salon are located in the wheelhouse where there are stunning 360° views. With plenty of sunbeds on the fore and aft decks choose how to relax; sunbathing, reading, chatting or perhaps you’ll even sleep here under the stars. There’s plenty of time to swim and snorkel too. Meals are taken on the aft deck where you’ll enjoy a different view with every meal. Most departures are on our gulet East Meets West. All other departures are on a carefully selected gulet. |

| Cruising from Marmaris, around the Gocek islands and on to Fethiye you will have opportunity to walk on 4 or 5 days taking in wonderful forest, mountain and sea views. The walks vary to suit the terrain, averaging low to intermediate with one or two steeper ascents, but taken at a comfortable pace for the group. Trip Grading: Low Intermediate Day 1 Arrive in Marmaris. Dinner onboard with opportunity to go to a Turkish Bath. Day 2 Cruise to Kumlubuk for our first walk in the mountains (2—3 hours) Day 3 Our morning starts with a wonderful and varied walk to the village of Candir (3.5-4 hours) before boarding a river boat to see the ruins at Kaunos, bathe in the hot thermal baths and visit the protected Iztuzu beach, nesting ground of the Carretta Carretta Turtle, . Day 4 Pretty walk in the mountains from Aga Limani with it’s ancient Roman village before arriving at the ruined Cleopatra’s Bath. (2-3 hours) In the afternoon we follow a low coastal path before rejoining the boat in the next bay.(2 hours) Day 5 See the ancient burial tombs at Bedri Rahmi bay as we continue to follow the coast with wonderful views of the islands. (2-3 hours) Day 6 Discover more of Turkey as we tour the villages of Fethiye see ancient civilisations at Tlos, the abandoned city of Kayakoy and more. Day 7 A longer, scenic walk from Inlice with an optional swim back to the boat at the end. (4-5 hours) Day 8 Say your goodbyes to the crew and your new friends in Fethiye. ☼ Cruise may operate in reverse ☼ Both Fethiye and Marmaris use Dalaman airport |
