Whether you’re looking to recharge, seek adventure, or simply unwind from the bustle of daily life, this is the ideal retreat for you.
Experience the perfect blend of nature and transformation as combine the serene art of slowing down with the excitement of embracing new, enriching experiences.
Immerse yourself in peaceful practices like yoga, meditation, soundbaths and reiki while reconnecting with nature through activities like hiking, kayaking and more. All of this unfolds aboard a luxurious handcrafted gulet as you cruise the breathtaking Turkish Aegean.
We will aim to have yoga practice twice per day and hike on three or four days.
Day 1: Arrive in Marmaris. Dinner onboard with opportunity to go to a Turkish Bath.
Day 2 After our first yoga practice we have a day of relaxation and cruising as you take time to download from your busy lives. A highlight is sleeping overnight in a secluded bay, choose to sleep in your cabin or up on deck watching the stars, the moonrise and awaken to the sunrise.
Day 3 We exchange the beauty of the mountains for a softer environment of cruising amongst reedbeds, passing ancient tombs before arriving at thermal pools and mudbaths on the lakeside where Romans once bathed. A picnic lunch on the riverboat leaves us with time to visit the small town of Dalyan, do some gift shopping and try turkish icecream.
Day 4 An early morning starts sees us watching the sunrise from behind the mountains on the east before arriving in a turquoise cove where Roman ships once moored. We will hike to the ruins of a Roman town, visit a once nomadic family before arriving at the ruins of Cleopatra’s Bath. Plenty of time to snorkel, kayak, stretch or rest in the Spring sunshine.
Day 5 Imagine taking your yoga mat, and stretching out as the sun makes an appearance in the peace of the early morning. Hear the birds start their soft chatter, maybe the bleating of the wild goats on their way to the natural stream. Later in the day, we will hike an old goat trail around the coast with stunning views.
Day 6 By now, you will be thoroughly relaxed and have your batteries recharged. You will have got to know each other, shared stories, swapped books and decided you absolutely love Turkish food. Maybe you’ve been in the kayak or if speed is for you, maybe you’ve been out together on the ringos or even parasailed. Another chance to hike today and take in vast panoramic vistas.
Day 7 A leisurely day to reflect on all you’ve seen, all you’ve experienced and the new friendships you’ve made before arriving into Fethiye port late afternoon.
Day 8 Say your goodbyes to the crew and your new friends in Fethiye.
*Cruise may operate in reverse. Direction of cruise will be confirmed no sooner than four weeks before departure and is subject to change at short notice (this is a rare occurrence but adverse weather conditions can leave us with no choice).
Our handcrafted 100-ft gulet combines charm and comfort. With 7 en-suite cabins, dining on deck, and cozy lounging spaces you can always find places to relax.
Each cabin has a private en-suite bathroom with home style toilet, shower cubicle and hairdryer. Cabins have a small wardrobe, underbed storage, window and bedside light. Electricity is available in cabins for charging mobile phones and cameras every evening. Cabins are smaller than a hotel room but larger than you’d find on a typical sailing yacht. A bath towel, hand towel and beach towel are provided.
The bar, galley and salon are located in the wheelhouse where there are stunning 360° views. With plenty of sunbeds on the fore and aft decks choose how to relax; sunbathing, reading, chatting or perhaps you’ll even sleep here under the stars.
Meals are taken on the aft deck where you’ll enjoy a different view with every meal.
She has sails although operates under motor for most of the trip to ensure we can keep to our schedule.
I have been teaching Yoga and Reiki for around 20 years and practicing a good few years longer.
I am blessed with having many amazing teachers and trained in classical Yoga with Sivananda in Netala Himalaya, then later Dru yoga in North Wales.
I’ve studied a wide range of healing modalities and meditation techniques from both shamanic and Eastern cultures and teach Usui and Holy Fire Reiki to those who are called.
My aim through the sessions I provide is to assist people in knowing themselves on a deeper level so they can experience peace and balance in their lives, making the everyday sacred.
I currently run weekly yoga classes and Nidra soundbaths indoors. When the weather is warmer I take yoga and soundbaths outside in local Caves and beaches.
I offer Reiki sessions for individuals and soundbaths and drumming journeys for individuals or groups and have previously run retreats in both Scotland and Morocco.
This retreat will allow you to take time out for yourself in the most idyllic of environments.
Those who would like to walk can join us three or four times during the cruise; pine forests and olive groves invariably invite us to be mindful enabling us to take note of birdsong, the breeze rustling in the trees, the gentle sound of waves lapping against the shore.
We will be walking along forest and goat trails which are rocky, stony and uneven – this isn’t a hiking or walking holiday but rather these trails give us the opportunity to find inspiration and quiet space in nature, whether that’s under the canopy of the pine forest, in an olive grove or at the water’s turquoise edge.
You will need a reasonable level of fitness to participate in optional hikes and will need to bring a small backpack, suitable footwear (with/without ankle support), and you will find hiking poles are very useful. Bring a refillable, reusable container for water.
