We’re very much looking forward to welcoming Su Lewis back to this beautiful coastline and all this holiday has to offer.
Known for its history, culture and natural beauty, there’s no better way to explore the Turkish Aegean than on a handcrafted gulet.
We’ll get off the traditional tourist path as we head for the pine clad mountains, clear blue seas and quiet bays of turquoise and greens and blues of every hue.
We’ll take optional short hikes on trails often only accessible from the sea, explore ancient ruins, feast on healthy, fresh food prepared by the onboard chef.
Relax at night under the stars to the sound of waves gently lapping the hull of the boat.

Overview Marmaris – Fethiye*
Our flexible itnerary will allow for at least one singing session each day, often more; with the opportunity to hike on at least 3 days if you want.

Cabins on are smaller than you’d expect in a hotel but larger than on a sailing yacht. They are handcrafted from mahogany, iroko, teak and pine so are rustic but are clean and have a small wardrobe with storage under the bed for luggage. Every cabin has a private en-suite bathroom with toilet, hand basin and shower; hot water is available in the evenings. One bath towel and one hand towel are provided; a beach towel is also provided.
With plenty of sunbeds on the fore and aft decks choose how to relax; sunbathing, reading, chatting or perhaps you’ll even sleep here under the stars. Meals are usually taken on the aft deck where you have a different view for almost every meal.
Singing
Su first came with a group to East Meets West in 2017 and we’re very happy to welcome her back for her fourth cruise. A member of the Natural Voice Network, Su has been teaching and leading singing workshops since 2003; runs regular singing groups and community choirs as well as working as a freelance workshop leader, community music event organiser ,songwriter and performer.
Her teaching style is very relaxed and informal and she quickly gets you singing in gorgeous harmony. You don’t need to be able to read music – all of the songs are taught by ear. Just bring energy and enthusiasm!
Low to Intermediate Hiking
The walks won’t exceed 4 or 5 miles and may be shorter, but the terrain is rocky, stony and uneven. There are some steep sections over loose trails; some narrow coastal paths and such sections require care. You will need a reasonable level of fitness to participate in the optional hikes. Appropriate footwear must be worn (trainers are not enough). If you like to hike and want to join the optional walks you need to bring a rucksack, hiking boots/shoes (with/without ankle support), hiking poles are very useful. Bring a refillable, reusable container for water.
This is your holiday – all activities are optional; please feel free to find some quiet time to read, meditate or just watch the world go by.
